"We had gorgeous weather today after a very cold morning and late start...Robin and Rick were out very late at a cool Halloween party so we were in gear about 9:00 am--which was merciful because it was so cold....got all the bandboards, porch girders, main trusses and buttresses up and are ready to floor when we start tomorrow. They are both great crew--smart and motivated and passionate about the studio we are building for her art working....and I feel grateful to be a part of it given its nearness to both their hearts.
Looking forward to flooring and upper beam work tomorrow...wew do have a massive challenge in that the hemlock 6620's weigh at least 300 lbs each and it will be a challenge to get them up to the second floor with only three of us...hmmmm...got to think this one over tonight..." -George Abetti
