"We had another phenomenal day today--completing the floor system, the tongue and groove flooring, and then hoisting the insanely heavy 20' hemlock beams up to the second floor where we cut them and then placed them along the tops of the posts. We are particularly grateful to both Tom Lucianos for their brawn and brains with the heavy beams--my sense is that it would have been impossible without them. We then routered and put on all the upper plates as well as all the upper perimeter framing--cut by our extraordinary cutter Robin--who kept us running all day.... Home for the rest of the weekend and looking forward the roof next week....we have had a wonderful start and are totally elated with the job so far." -George Abetti
